Creating An FTP Account - FTP Accounts allow you to access your web site’s files through a
protocol called FTP (Michelle’s Note: You already have one default FTP
account setup that will allow you FTP access to your entire public_html
directory) -
Accessing Webmail - Webmail allows you to check your email from a web browser as opposed to
a desktop mail application such as Outlook Express or Thunderbird (Michelle’s
Note: I only recommend webmail for short time spans when you have no access
to your main computer. Email stored on the server takes up your web space) -
Updating Your Contact Info - Setup the email address at which you will receive disk quota and
bandwidth limit warnings -
Configuring Email Filters - You can configure filters here, but we recommend using Mailscanner
instead -
Using Web Disk - This feature is only available on those accounts with the x3 version of
cPanel. -
Using IP Deny Manager - This feature will allow you to block a range of IP addresses to prevent
them from accessing your site -
Parking A Domain - Parked Domains (Domain pointers) allow you to “point” or “park”
additional domain names to your existing hosting account -
Creating Cron Jobs - Cron jobs allow you to automate certain commands or scripts on your site
